I've gotten far more sex with a great deal more people in the past month or so than I managed probably in the entirely of my life before that.

I don't know why I feel so accomplished.

Term is ending at my university and I only have fifty papers to grade and a faculty party to attend. Free booze. Smashing.

I turn my back away from this community for ~~a couple months~~ two minutes and Doctors turn into vegetables. Honestly, I shouldn't have been surprised after everything else that has happened in my life, but poor Six as a carrot?

Um, in other news, have returned students safely to university ~~though some appear to have been permanently scarred and/or dazed by Barbarella's attentions~~. I actually have a reprieve (with lecturing ~~and faculty bar~~) before anymore 'field trips.'

Life continues apace. Have been on multiple digs the past few weeks with various groups of students ~~and Evelyn and I finally got round to dealing with that rather unfortunate business of the bodies who shouldn't have been buried in that trench on that one better-unnamed planet...~~. Most of the students are cheerfully incompetent.

I love them, really. ~~But if one more trips over his own shoelaces and breaks another once-perfectly-preserved pot, I might have to strangle him.~~

*sigh* I do hope Fred or Barbarella with others in tow comes along soon ~~with extra liquor and/or whipped cream~~. I'd have somebody to talk to besides bloody archaeology students ten or fifteen years my junior. ~~And we might be able to teach them something entirely unrelated to archaeology.~~

It was a lovely trip. Bar the torrential rains. And the mud. And the muck. And the strange women who wanted me to chant with them. The Doctor was a bit leery of them as well, come to think of it. But I got to spend loads of time at the dig and not once did anyone shoot at us. I think Chris was a bit disappointed about that. ~~And I only fell on my arse twice because of the mud, which is much better than what some other people managed. Ha. Though I did also slide right down into that trench, rather embarrassingly.~~ I shan't go into the details of the fascinating discoveries we made, because they would only be fascinating to other archaeologists. However, get me drunk in a corner at a party and I might just start going on about things incomprehensibly, if you're really that interested.

And since it seems the men already had their stag night (don't suppose we could get some of that mead? Just for a bit of variety, of course), I suppose I should get the hen night sorted soon. Everyone, bring swimming suits and whipped topping of your particular flavour.

I am extremely drunk right now. And it's all Tegan's fault. On the other hand, she is teaching me about Obscure Twentieth Century Things. It's amazing the wealth of detail involved in the period, isn't it?

Jamie is a wonderful, wonderful young man. Yes. ~~Damned lovely shag too but I shan't mention that because everyone has enough ideas as it is.~~ And Tegan mixes lovely drinks, Eight makes a rather amusing drunk, and Five is cute when confused. Finally managed to give some lectures in the midst of trips to Victoria's Secret & attempts to stop Evelyn from corrupting poor Jamie (and his mother) even more than he's already been by hanging around with ~~the pair of~~ us. I actually feel rather organized and on top of things for once.

I'm sure it won't last.

It really was a wonderful trip (bar the burning bush incident ~~just when Jamie was paying some attention to me~~), quite nice to spend some time with my Doctor again, but I think my students think I've deserted them. I only hope the university doesn't feel the same way.

So in an example of the fastest bit of hypocrisy I've ever pulled, I lied. Barely made it back to my rooms before I took up an invitation from Eight to ~~shag~~ have tea. And then I met up with Jamie for some whiskey, only ended up with Chris, and we went to inaugurate Seven's rather wonderful new bar...

So, um, yes. Quite. Really, I wouldn't have life any other way.

Woke up on a different planet entirely surrounded by various people I didn't know at all, a couple hungover and confused Cybermen, and wearing nothing but feathers of all things.

Am now hitching a ride back to university with a couple of the people I didn't know (one of which is definitely not human--never met his/her type before). And scrounging about in search of actual clothing.

At last! I finally figured out the tech to put a picture of myself up. Personal computers from the late twentieth century on Earth were never a strong point of mine.

Have been busy lecturing. It's quite boring. But I've another dig coming up soon, which will hopefully go somewhere between the first one (quite boring) and the second one ~~(Evelyn, we must still go back to that planet and make sure we were digging *up* and not burying those alien bodies...)~~.

Ho hum. I missed quite a bit by not ending up at Woodstock, didn't I...? And I do wonder where Eight's wandered off too...I'm missing Wols.

Didn't even mention the Doctor's visit before I went off to the pub and...er. Yes. Quite. He and Fitz and Anji came visiting for a good long stay. Fitz seemed a bit unhappy, but he never refused a pint, so he can't be all bad. Come to think of it, Anji seemed a bit dour too...wonder why?

Still, didn't spend as much time with them as I could have. Spent most of it with the Doctor. Had a very productive time--er, refreshing his memory. And a highly enjoyable time it was too. Though now I've lost Wolsey.

And apparently I'm the only one still under the affects of the mushrooms, judging by everyone else's heads compared to my still seeing blue sparkles and purple waves every time I listen to "Electric Blue Eyes." Hmm. Ah well. Have to face the comedown when I get to it.

Pub was fun.

Never thought I liked mushrooms till last night. I'll have to get that recipe from Evelyn. She seemed in a much happier frame of mind about being split into three different people by the time we all left.

And Chris *has* been leading an interesting life since I last saw him. Poor boy. At least, I think he has. ~~I don't remember much after eating that rather wonderful dinner.~~

You know, I swear I should be feeling hungover right about now...but I'm feeling quite--happy still...
